With length of eight kilometers, it has the shape of a fifteen-pointed star, and presents beautiful landscapes with deserted beaches, coconut trees and typical vegetation from the Atlantic Forest. Access is through BR 324 to the Island of Madre de Deus, where you can rent boats and go to Loreto, Paramana or Ponta de Nossa Senhora. Another alternative is through private or tourist boats from the maritime terminals in Salvador.

Among the movements of the Island we highlight secular church of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe that dates back to the eighteenth century, Nossa Senhora do Loreto Church that was built in the seventeenth century.
